County Club Wedding Photographer – Viola & Thomas’s Wedding

Just over a week ago I had the pleasure of photographing Viola and Thomas’s wedding at Christ’s Church Guildford. The reception afterwards was held at The County Club in Guildford, Surrey. Unfortunately the weather was completely against us on the day with torential down pours creating flash flooding leading up to the wedding!

Viola arrived at the church with her sister in a lovely pale blue Rolls Royce, but had to remain in the car to wait for a potential break in the clouds. Viola looked unfazed by the weather as she arrived inside the church under an umbrella and looked truly amazing. I’m pretty certain the celebrations went on late in to the night too…

All Saints Church Tilford & Bonhams Farm Holybourne – Carly & Thomas’s Wedding

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of photographing Carly and Thomas’s wedding in All Saints Church in the lovely village of Tilford near Farnham, Surrey. Weather forecast was for a glorious sunny warm day and it didn’t disappoint. Carly arrived at the church in a lovely cream and green VW camper van with her father before being walked up to the church with the vicar. Carly & Thomas were married by 14.30 in All Saints Church, congratulations Mr & Mrs Goodman-Smith!

The reception was to be held a few miles from the church at a fairly new venue for weddings; Bonhams Barn in Holybourne near Alton, Hampshire. A lovely venue for a wedding reception set in farmland with amazing views over the Hampshire countryside.

Just received this lovely message from Carly & Thomas: “What can I say other than WOW! We absolutely love the photos and are so thrilled. You captured the relaxed and happy vibes of the day perfectly and they are such a good documentation of what was such a wonderful day. Thank you so so much!

Wedding Photography Sneak Peek – Bonhams Barn Hampshire

Holy Cross Church Binsted & Clandon Park, Surrey – Katie & Matthew’s Wedding

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Matthew’s wedding in Holy Cross Church in the lovely village of Binsted near Alton, Hampshire. Weather forecast was a another mixed one and a fairly blustery day too. However, Katie arrived in a lovely cream 1959 Jaguar MK II with her father and two young bridesmaids. Katie & Matthew were married by Rev. Yann Dubreuil in Holy Cross Church by 13:45, Congratulations Mr & Mrs Bailey!

The reception was to be held a good few miles from the church at the stunning National Trust location of Clandon Park in West Clandon near Guildford, Surrey. A lovely venue for a wedding reception, one that I have not photographed in for a while so a nice timely revisit.

Wedding Photography – Frensham Ponds Hotel Wedding Photographer – Keri and Alf

Just over a week ago I had the pleasure of photographing Keri and Alf’s wedding in St Andrews Church in the tranquil market town of Farnham. The reception was to be held just a couple of miles away at the Frensham Ponds Hotel right on the edge of the larger Frensham Pond in Surrey.

Keri got ready at home with the help of her Mum, Dad, bridesmaids, hair and makeup professionals before being taken to the church with her Dad in a classic cream and black Rolls Royce. It was a stunning day for their wedding considering the weather to date. An umbrella was needed on arrival at the reception venue, but generally it was a glorious sunny evening and enjoyed by all in attendence.

Congratulations again Mr & Mrs Sandvik and may you have a happy and healthy life together. Below are some of my favourite images from their wedding day.

Wedding Photography – Four Seasons Wedding Photographer Testimonial

This is a lovely wedding photography testimonial I received from a couples wedding last year in an email the other day:

I highly recommend Simon for your special day. I was nervous finding a photographer from afar (we live in the USA.) Someone who would really listen to what we were looking for and deliver. Simon’s pictures are fantastic, he exceeded our expectations. He makes the whole process very straight forward and we came away with a very high quality album that we absolutely love and are so proud of.

It was important to us that we have pictures ’in the moment’ (family and friends interacting naturally) rather than too many staged pictures. Simon was very good at blending into the background and catching exactly that. (The group shots are fantastic too.) We have received so many compliments on our photographs! His pictures are very natural, and beautifully capture the moment; not just the big moments but the small and easily missed moments.

After a few months of waiting for my clients to select their favourite photos for their album from their lovely wedding at The Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire, it was great to be able to design an album with all black and white photographs bar one with lots of space too. This was a huge 14 x 11 inch wedding album with 58 pages, cloth edge pages and metal corners to really finish it off. Here is a small video of it below:

 

 

Wedding Photography – Documentary Wedding Photographer Berkshire – Eleanor & Matt

Here are a few more photos from Eleanor and Matt’s wedding at the beginning of May at St Michael and All Angels Church in Sunninghill, Berkshire. Eleanor arrived at the church with her father in a vintage black and cream Armstrong Siddely. Eleanor looked stunning!

Eleanor made it in to the entrance before any more rain arrived and they were married in the lovely church by 14.30. Congratulations again to Eleanor and Matt and may you have a very happy future together.

After the ceremony, we had a bit of time to get some group photos outside before heading off to the reception at The Belgian Arms in Holyport, Berkshire. The pub had been superbly decorated in a county garden theme with bunting and there were cream tea cakes everywhere!

At the start of March I had the pleasure of photographing Sobana and Mark’s wedding at Wotton House, Dorking set in 13 acres of the Surrey countryside. Sobana got ready in one of the hotel rooms while sipping on Champagne with her two bridesmaids, Sobana looked stunning. Even though it was a glorious sunny day outside, it would have been very risky to get married outside in the private walled gardens of this venue at this time of year.

Sobana and Mark had decided to marry in the delightful vaulted ceiling, chapel style library. Sobana and Mark were married in the chapel witnessed by family and friends by 14.30, congratulations again to Mr & Mrs Battison.

The newlyweds, families, wedding party and friends then all made their way outside for a champagne reception, canapes and to enjoy the early spring sunshine. There was also a chance to get some large group photographs around the pond and in front of the large roman style temple. The wedding reception, speeches, first dance and evening celebrations were all held in one of the banqueting rooms of the hotel and no doubt in to the early hours of Sunday morning.

Wedding Photography Sneak Peek – Wotton House Wedding Photographer Surrey

At the start of March I had the pleasure of photographing Sobana and Mark’s wedding at the vast Wotton House set in 13 acres of Surrey countryside near Dorking. The forecast leading up to the day was a little suspect, but it cleared and turned out to be a beautiful sunny day.
